Let’s begin with the fact that in the present world more than ever efficiency and accuracy of information transfer is appreciated before.
There is yes a saying «who possesses information, that owns the world» very precisely describes the situation of things – wellbeing and stability not only large corporations, but also the whole countries in many respects depends on in due time obtained information.
It is impossible to present that such volumes of information what are every second transferred from one doomsday to another today can be transferred by means of traditional, «analog», communication channels.
Today the role of the punctual and executive mail carrier was undertaken by information technologies.
We use fruits of information technologies daily and hourly – when we pay purchases with «credit card» when we acquire the train ticket or just we answer the phone call.
Information technologies got into all spheres of life of the modern person, beginning from geopolitics and macroeconomic, and finishing with the mobile phone lying in a pocket, and today it is already simply impossible to do without these technologies.
Properties of information technologies:
- Information technologies allow to make active and to effectively use information resources of society which are the most important strategic factor of its development today.
- Information technologies allow to optimize and in many cases to automate information processes which take the increasing place in activity of human society in recent years.
- Information processes are important elements of other more difficult production or social processes.
In the history of mankind there were, at least, two revolutions on improvement of quality and expansion of availability of education. Two previous revolutions at the same time expanded possibilities of education as systems, having added new means and having changed its structure.
Specialists of the social sphere shall first react to these changes in society. Social teachers and social workers as specialists of various social services supplement and develop multidimensional activities of organizations of education, health care, culture, sport, public organizations, interact with them, performing integrative function in interrelation of state and public structures with a family, the personality. Emergence of such specialties as «the social pedagogics» and «social work» allows to solve several interconnected problems: forming of the outlook adequate to this stage of social and economic development of our country and world in general, understanding by each person of the place in life, including professional self-determination; implementation of the social adaptation based on a capability to decision making in the conditions of uncertainty; development of communicative skills and abilities to build the relations with various social structures. The social teacher should work with the most various categories of the population: children, disabled people, elderly people, that places great demands on its professional training. At the same time modern information technologies without which it is simple to it not to do today can give essential help. And the earlier the social teacher and the computer «will make friends», the its pedagogical activities will be more effective.
Ability to apply modern information technologies in the activities becomes one of the main components of professional training of any specialist including the specialist of the social sphere.
Information technologies fell within all scope of our life. The computer is means of increase in efficiency of training process, participates in all human activities, is irreplaceable for the social sphere.
The social sphere is area of emergence and functioning of interrelations of people with each other.
The social sphere is understood in two meanings — wide and narrow — and depending on it covers different volumes of social space.
Functioning and development of the social sphere is impossible without exchange of information. Implementation of modern computer information technologies to the social sphere is determined by complication of social and economic processes in society, is more increasing than them dependence on information and organized information flows, impossibility in modern conditions to solve social, economic, managerial and other tasks in case of information processing manually. The automated handling, storage and distribution of social information with use of modern computer and telecommunication means allows to increase quality of social information, its accuracy, objectivity, efficiency and, as a result of it, a possibility of acceptance of effective and timely management decisions.
Analyzing a role and value of information technologies for the present stage of development of society, it is possible to draw quite valid conclusions that this role is strategically important, and value of these technologies will quickly increase in the near future. These technologies possess the determining role in the field of technology development of the state today. Arguments for these conclusions is a number of unique properties of information technologies which push them on the priority place in relation to production and social technologies.
