All information systems are based on the information technology. IT is important for the modern world. However, it’s hard to figure out its place in humans’ life. Every day we face dozens of devices, whose invention was even hard to foresee. Smartphones, PCs, autonomous robots were just a science fiction at some point. Information technologies significantly simplify our life and labor. They are involved in every part of our being – from healthcare to art. Functioning of modern factories is based on the wide usage of IT. For example, people get used to use remote controlled robots for the most dangerous and difficult operations. It has many advantages. The main point is that their effectiveness doesn’t decrease with time. They never get tired.
Hundreds of years ago many things which are available to the modern kids were inapproachable for the major part of humankind. Do we even need to mention the computer, which is so widespread in 21st century? Digital brain is embedded in the ovens, watches and even houses. At the moment you can surf the Internet via fridge. Irons are able to eavesdrop us. Every year the digital universe expands wider and wider.
Undoubtedly, influence of the technical progress on the individual is too huge. We gain the interest to the new fields of study, we change the way of our education, and we are always ready for changes. For all these skills we need to thank the never-ending renewal of technologies.
Nobody can predict what awaits us in future. Apparently, one day the part which is taken by the IT in our life is going to become not just big, but fundamental. Technical progress has already made it possible to build autonomous robots using neural networks. Developing of our civilization leads to this. IT will bring us to the new era.
